Victorian Journal of Music Education
The ‘Victorian Journal of Music Education’ (VJME) is a fully-refereed journal that aims to provide clear, stimulating and readable accounts of current issues in music education. In particular, it strives to strengthen professional development and improve practice within the field of music education.
The VJME publishes articles that enhance knowledge regarding the teaching and learning of music with a special interest toward the Victorian and Australian music education community. This may include articles that report results of quantitative or qualitative research studies, summarise bodies of research, present theories, models or philosophical positions, etc. Articles usually include a discussion of implications and applications to music teaching and learning.
The Victorian Journal of Music Education is available to ASME members through the “Vic Members Only” tab, and through online library databases.
