- What is it?
ASME WA Summer School is a series of Workshops, Discussions, Professional Learning Sessions and Performances over two days to help inspire the wider music education community. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other like-minded music educators across Western Australia.
ASME WA Summer School aims to address all strands of music education – choral, instrumental, early childhood, primary, secondary and everything in between.

The Summer School will be at Edith Cowan University – Mount Lawley Campus. 2 Bradford St, Mount Lawley. See Map Below.

- How much is it?
Prices are as follows
- Two day registration (full): $220
- Two day registration (concession): $110
- Two day registration (regional): $110
- Single day registration: $110
- Single day (concession): $60
- Why do I need to be an ASME Member / join ASME before registering?
In the past we have had a non-member rate which included an ASME membership fee. This year, to save on admin time and any confusion between us and ASME National, we ask that you join ASME before registering to be a participant.
ASME membership is priced at $80 for a full annual membership, $35 for concession and FREE for Tertiary Students. To join or see all the benefits of becoming an ASME Member – Click here
- How do I register?

- How do I pay?
Once you have registered, you should receive details via a confirmation email on how to pay via direct deposit or cheque.
- I’ve just registered but haven’t received a confirmation email, what should I do?
First, check all your spam and junk folders on your email. If it still has not come through, Please contact wa@asme.edu.au
- I’ve just registered but I think I put some incorrect details in. What should I do?

Schools will be invoiced within a few days of registering. If your school is yet to receive an invoice, please email wa@asme.edu.au and cc in your school contact and we’ll get back to you.
- I would like to make a presentation/Volunteer my time, is there someone I can contact?
Please email wa@asme.edu.au and we’ll pass your query on to the relevant organisers.
- I’m Presenting/Volunteering during the conference, why do I need to register?
In order to keep all information together we ask all presenters and volunteers to register their information to help with catering and emergency purposes.
- What should I bring with me to Summer School?
A fantastic attitude, a can-do spirit and possibly a bottle of water with a pen and paper to take notes / steal ideas.
- Can I get a Certificate of Attendance to show my school/institution?
Yes. This will be emailed after the event.
- Will I need to bring lunch?
Morning tea and Lunch will be catered for this event. You can let us know your preferred lunch options when you register.
